“I can’t say it has been one of my favorites”; Charlotte Flair opens up on her current Smackdown Women’s Championship reign
Charlotte Flair recently revealed that her current Smackdown Women's Championship reign was not her favorite
Charlotte Flair has become one of the most dominant champions in the women’s wrestling industry today. The Queen has been on the top of the whole roster for quite some time and has been a champion for months now. But the SmackDown Women’s Champion has recently claimed that her current reign as the champion has not been her favorite.
“I can’t say that this title reign has been one of my favorites. Because I haven’t had an opportunity, due to unfortunate events to defend the title as many times as I would like. But in terms of when I came back after WrestleMania 37 that I missed, and came back as the Opportunity, I feel like it’s been the most confident my character has been since before, it’s been like a good three-and-a-half years, I think.”
“Well, like Toni Storm in the middle of our storyline, she left. Then there hasn’t really been anybody on WWE SmackDown. I had the opportunity to face Naomi in a title match on SmackDown, I have been wanting to wrestle her for like five years. So I would have liked to have been more of a fighting champion.” – Flair revealed during an interview with Ariel Helwani
Is Charlotte Flair and her SmackDown Women’s Championship reign in jeopardy?
Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey are seemingly not done with their rivalry for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. The controversial finish to their match at the 38th edition of the Grandest Stage of them All hinted that Ronda Rousey will go after Flair once again after her loss at WrestleMania 38.
This time it could be Flair ending up facing the lights after the Baddest Women on the Planet is hunting for the championship. Flair tapped out at WrestleMania 38 but the referee was not able to see it which could be a huge setback in the mind of the Queen and a huge advantage for the Rowdy One. Ronda Rousey has vowed that she would come back stronger than ever and this could bring Flair’s historic championship reign in jeopardy.
