Cody Rhodes’ departure from All Elite Wrestling, as well as rumours of his return to WWE, are two of the most talked-about subjects in the pro-wrestling world right now. In the midst of it all, Rhodes has changed his appearance.

Cody stated on Instagram that he had grown an “awesome goatee” and that it gave him a Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ) vibe. He didn’t release any photos of himself in the new look, though, and said that his wife Brandi Rhodes, who is no longer with AEW, disagreed. Pat McAfee, a Friday Night SmackDown commentator, recently said on The Pat McAfee Show that he believes the former AEW EVP will join WWE. He even went so far as to criticise AEW, claiming that the promotion was “awful.” McAfee later explained that he was joking and commended Rhodes, saying:

“I guess Cody is coming to WWE,” said McAfee. “I guess, who cares? He and his little friends started something; it was terrible. We actually went head to head with them on Wednesdays. We beat them a couple of different times. Who cares? The hell with Cody Rhodes.” “I’m actually pretty pumped if Cody’s coming back. He’s obviously a massive name in sports entertainment. If he’s coming to SmackDown, I’m excited about it.”

Cody’s return to WWE has been rumoured multiple times in the last several weeks. PWTorch’s Wade Keller even said that Vince McMahon is planning a major push for him.
