Cody Rhodes backstage at WrestleMania 38
Cody Rhodes made his triumphant return at the 38h edition of the Grandest Stage of them All and defeated an all time great in the face of Seth Rollins to carve his footsteps on the Raw roster. The American Nightmare also made his in-ring return to Raw and faced the A-lister, Miz this week on Monday Night Raw.
Cody Rhodes shared a lot of backstage stories when he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38. The American Nightmare stepped in SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio and opened up on his return. Rhodes also revealed that he was very excited to meet the EST of WWE, Bianca Belair and that he found everyone polite to him when he returned. Here’s what he said:
“I got the chance after the match – I did want to swing by male talent. I want in there and got to see Kofi and I got to see Woods and meet some new people. I never really got to talk with Corbin as often. We got to talk a little bit that evening. I was really – I don’t know if excited is the word, as much as I felt this was my responsibility.”
“I tell you, the person I was most excited to meet was Bianca Belair. I was most excited to meet her, and I got to meet her when she had just come from tearing the joint down, and I was underneath the stage so I could hear it all. You’re always happy when you can hear a hot crowd and they had set up such a brilliant crowd and put us in a difficult position to follow.” – Wrestlinginc
Seth Rollins wants to face Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania 38 rematch
Though it was seeming like Rhodes and Rollins were done with one stupendous match at WrestleMania 38, it seems like the two are not done yet. Cody Rhodes defeated the Miz on Monday Night Raw this week after which, Rollins came out and challenged the American Nightmare for ‘Rollins vs Rhodes Part 2’ which Cody accepted.
