WWE crowns inaugural champion after SmackDown went off-air just a day before Bad Blood

This week’s SmackDown was a stellar go-home episode for Bad Blood. However, the action did not stop right there, as WWE had its Speed Tournament as well right after the show. After weeks of buzz, WWE finally had the finals for the Women’s Speed Championship, where they crowned a 39-year-old as the first champion.
The new champion is none other than Candice LeRae. The latter faced Iyo Sky in the finals of the Women’s Speed Championship tournament. Both stars gave it their all, but LeRae overcame the odds at the end. After a grueling back-and-forth battle, the 39-year-old star defeated The Genius of the Sky to capture her first championship gold on the main roster.
It was a huge victory for LeRae on the main roster. Scoring a win over a talented star like Sky is certainly a huge feat. Additionally, it is her first singles championship in WWE after having a 7-year-long career in the company.

Although it was a huge win for Candice, the Speed Championship remains exclusive to X only. Therefore, she would not be able to flaunt it over Raw and SmackDown, much like men’s Speed Champion Andrade. However, it would be interesting to see if this was a step in direction towards a massive push for the Poison Pixie after fans have been clamoring for it for years.
Candice LeRae’s dream match is to face Stephanie McMahon in WWE
Candice LeRae is considered one of the most underrated stars by many in WWE. She has incredible wrestling skills and charisma that make her an undeniably gifted talent. Given that, her dream match is arguably questionable. LeRae doesn’t want to face any professional wrestler but wants to square off against Stephanie McMahon, that too with an interesting twist.
Speaking with TVInsider, LeRae’s husband Johnny Gargano revealed the dream match of his wife is a mixed tag team match. He said that Candice wants to team up with him to take on Stephanie and Triple H. Gargano was filled with merriment while talking about this possibility, making it look like an intriguing fantasy booking.
Her dream match is actually me and her versus Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Unfortunately, there are no chances of this match happening in WWE. Triple H has hung up his boots due to a heart issue, while McMahon has been away from the company focusing on herself. Although this match is not possible, there is a pool of stars LeRae could choose from for her dream opponent currently in WWE.
