WWE has reportedly decided the Wrestlemania 37 Night One main event

Banks will face Belair on Night One of Wrestlemania 37

Wrestlemania 37 is now less than a week away. This year, WWE’s biggest event of the year will be a two-night affair. A major part of the card has already been announced, and some final announcements are likely to be made on the go-home episode of Raw.

The second night of the event will be headlined by Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan and Edge for the WWE Universal Championship. But there were several speculations regarding the first night. Reportedly, Night One will be headline by Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

The EST of WWE defeated outlasted 29 of her opponents at the Royal Rumble to earn a shot at the title. WWE proclaims that the winner of Rumble gets to main event Wrestlemania. So it is only fair that Bianca Belair gets to main event the show.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio too revealed that the Smackdown Women’s Championship is being preferred over the WWE Championship for Night One. Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley is being placed below the Belair – Banks match.

Belair has been recently mentioneing in her interviews that she wants to headline Wrestlemania Night One. She even received a lot of support from her fans as well as from the wrestling world.

“I would love to be in the main event. That’s the dream in WWE. What more could you ask for in that moment? It’s a dream I’ve always had. We’re already creating history by being the first two Black females to have a title match at WrestleMania, so it’s just amazing. We represent two alpha-females and to do it on the grandest stage of all, in the main event… why not?”

This would just be the second time that a women’s match would be headlining Wrestlemania. Last time, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey had main-evented the PPV.

WWE Wrestlemania airs live on 10th and 11th April, 2021.
