“I owe her so much”: Bianca Belair’s special message for Bayley
Bayley and Belair
Bianca Belair is one of the most loved Superstars on the WWE roster today. She has been on a dream run since the start of 2021. The EST of WWE went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble Rumble match and went on to main event Wrestlemania 37. She not only featured in the main event but went on to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
This year too, she will be entering the Showcase of Immortals, seeking to win a title. But instead of the Smackdown Women’s title, it will be the Raw Women’s title. Belair will be challenging Becky Lynch for the title in the opening match of the Wrestlemania Saturday.
While now she has accomplished a lot in the business, the EST of WWE had kicked off her career as a track and field athlete. She was signed by WWE in 2016, where she made her professional wrestling debut. Back then, she was performing on NXT for a couple of years, before debuting on the main roster in 2020.
There is no doubt that making the switch from track & field sports to professional wrestling isn’t easy. In a recent interview with My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, Bianca Belair revealed which Superstar helped her the most during her initial days.
“My first feud was with Bayley. Bayley is so amazing and so talented. So I had her help introduce me to the main roster audience. I feel like I owe so much to Bayley for all the help that she gave me. She doesn’t even know, but I used to watch how she handled things. She doesn’t even know that she was guiding me, but she was because I was just watching her and learning from her,” mentioned the EST of WWE.
Bianca Belair cut Becky Lynch’s hair
The feud between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair kicked off way back at Summerslam 2021, when Big Time Becks pinned her in 26 seconds to become the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Since then, the titles and brands have changed. The battle reignited at Elimination Chamber, where Belair became the No.1 Contender for the Raw Women’s title.
Now the EST of WWE is seeking redemption for her loss and what better stage to do it rather than – the Grandest Stage of Them All – Wrestlemania. In the buildup to this match there have been several brawls, a couple of injuries, and a haircut too! On the latest episode of Raw, Belair managed to cut Lynch’s hair!
