The Hurt Business was a faction that many wrestling fans believed was destined for greatness. However, internal politics led to the group being torn apart, resulting in key members like MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin being released from the company. Recently, there’s been renewed buzz around the once-dominant faction, with reports suggesting they are in talks to join AEW, WWE’s rival promotion.

According to reports from Fightful Select, MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin have been in talks with AEW, with discussions also underway about rebranding the group as “The Hurt Syndicate” under the new company. However, it remains unconfirmed whether the trio has officially signed a new contract or if the deal is still in progress.

The group achieved considerable success during their 18-month run. While Lashley enjoyed his time at the top as WWE Champion, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin captured the Tag Team titles. However, the faction was disbanded in 2021 and has not reunited since. According to the former United States Champion, Triple H and WWE were the reasons why the group never got back together.
