A few days back, former Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin accused Ric Flair of no-showing multiple fan signings. Silkin claimed that Flair owed him $41K for his failure to appear at these events. Also, Silkin stated that his experience with other wrestling legends was pleasant in comparison to The Nature Boy. After receiving criticism from fans online, Flair has finally responded to Silkin’s accusation.

Flair, on his X account, broke silence on the matter. The WWE Hall of Famer announced that he would address Silkin tomorrow during his appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast. Moreover, Flair directly sent a warning to Silkin, telling him to prepare to leave the country. In another post, the legendary wrestler posted a screenshot of a DM.

The 75-year-old revealed that this was the first message he received following his first post. Moreover, the person in the DM asked Flair to expose Silkin, alleging that he was a con artist and a scammer during his days as a Ring of Honor owner. Citing this message, Flair said that he wasn’t the only person who had issues with Silkin.

The entire situation kickstarted when Flair disclosed that he had been scammed out of a $2 million business deal 20 years ago. As such, Silkin responded with the aforementioned accusation, even expressing his regret with how things unfolded with his wrestling hero. Needless to say, this hasn’t been the best of years for Ric Flair, as yet another controversy piles on his well-documented personal life.

Ric Flair’s tumultuous 2024 in detail

At the start of this year, Ric Flair and his energy drink company were signed to AEW. Flair played an important role in his longtime friend Sting‘s retirement tour. In fact, Flair accompanied The Icon to his last match at Revolution against The Young Bucks.

This would end up being his final appearance for the company, as both he and his energy drink brand seemingly cut ties with AEW. Flair then got embroiled in another controversy after being kicked out of a pizza outlet. Later in the year, Flair revealed devastating news about his personal life, disclosing that he had separated from his partner, Wendy.

Controversy yet again surrounded Flair when he posted a tweet about Hurricane Helene, which he later deleted after receiving backlash on social media. All in all, The Nature Boy would definitely be hoping for a much better year in 2025.
