Seth Rollins is one of the top WWE superstars in WWE currently. His immense fan following and his in-ring ability is uncomparable. His nicknames list the superstars he has defeated. His records and accomplices narrate his whole career and make everyone his fan. His list of attainments include being a 2-time Universal Champion.
The Universal Championship has been in the possession of Seth Rollins twice in his career. Not only that but Rollins along with Finn Balor were the first two men to compete for the Universal champion. Rollins won the Universal Championship first in 2019 when he won the Men’s Royal Rumble match and challenged Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
Rollins battled Lesnar at WrestleMania 35 and defeated the Beast Incarnate to shock the world bring the Universal Championship for the first time in his possession. After losing the championship, Rollins again challenged Lesnar for the Universal Championship this time at Summerslam 2019 and came out victorious from one of the best matches of the year which marked his second Universal Championship reign.
Can Seth Rollins become the Universal Champion anytime soon?
Seth Rollins is scheduled to challenge his former Shield brother Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2022. In one of the most anticipated and long awaited matches of the year, the WWE Universe will witness a battle between two of the most iconic superstars of the wrestling industry today.
The match could be the highlight of the event keeping in mind both the superstars’ history as well as their careers. Plus the Universal Championship reign of Roman Reigns will also bring a lot of attraction to the match and will make it a high stakes one. Looking at the career of Rollins, the Beastslayer could be the one to dethrone the Tribal Chief.
