Cena and Batman
John Cena is currently in the best phases of his acting career in Hollywood. He kicked off his career as a bodybuilder but soon transitioned to a career in professional wrestling. Cena was signed by WWE, then known as WWF, in 2001. He went on to become one of the biggest Superstars in the history of the company – and was the face of the company for nearly a decade.
But even when he was working full-time with WWE, John Cena tried his hand at acting and starred in The Marine in 2006. The 16-time World Champion soon switched to a career in Hollywood and continued to make sporadic appearances for WWE. Since 2017, Cena has starred in several movies like Ferdinand, Blocker and Bumblebee.
The highlight year of his entire acting career came in 2021 – when he became a part of two massive franchisee films. John Cena grabbed the role of Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad and also headlined F9 of the Fast and Furious series as Jakob Toretto. But clearly, Peacemaker is the biggest role of his career so far and it even allowed the fans to see him in a new avatar.
The Peacemaker character is currently seen on the television series of the same name on HBO Max. The fourth episode of the show recently premiered and shocked the fans due to the character’s opinion about one of the biggest Superheroes in the world – Batman! While interacting with the father of his neighbour, who compared Peacemaker to the Batman, Cena’s character called the Dark Knight a “p***y”.
The neighbour in the scene mentioned that Batman doesn’t kill people because he is a superhero, to which John Cena’s character replies “Because he is a p***y.” This isn’t all, Peacemaker went on to call Batman “a jacka**” too.

In the 2021 James Gunn movie, The Suicide Squad, John Cena played the role of DC Comics character Peacemaker. The first television series of the DC Extended Universe is based on the same character and is being headlined by Cena. The series continues from where the movie ended.
The series premiered on HBO Max on January 13, 2022 and kicked things off with three episodes. The latest episode of the series dropped on 20th January and included the surprising Batman interaction. Directed and written by James Gunn, the show is scheduled to have 8 episodes, with new ones dropping weekly till February 17.
