Jeff Hardy Extreme Rules debut came in the first edition of the pay-per-view where he defeated Edge to become the WWE Champion. But he was not able to celebrate much after CM Punk cashed in his MITB contract to become the new champion.
He was then not seen at Extreme Rules before 2017 where he teamed up with Matt Hardy in a losing effort against Sheamus and Cesaro. In 2018, he lost the United States Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura in six seconds. This gave him a lot of criticism but he didn’t take it negatively.
