WrestleMania 38 became much more stupendous when it was confirmed that Kevin Owens will host a very special edition of the KO Show and the Prizefighter’s guest would be none other than the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The WWE Hall of Famer will be returning to WWE after 2 long years, his last appearance being the 3:16 day of 2020 where he enjoyed some beer with the Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Owens recently appeared on WWE The Bump, and took a huge dig at the legacy of Stone Cold Steve Austin. The former Universal Champion claimed that the Austin had unreasonable pride and that there was hardly anyone like him. He then praised Austin for their past conversations and said that the only thing that was important, was the Hall of Famer accepting his invitation. Here’s what he said:
“There’s nobody like me and Steve Austin obviously knows that. Or maybe it’s this unreasonable pride that he’s got for Texas. My history with Texas really struck a chord with him. But Steve and I have a lot of history actually. I met him at an airport in 2005 when I was an independent wrestler just trying to make my way. I remember asking him for advice and he gave me a piece of advice that changed the entire trajectory of my career.”
“Years later, I was on his podcast. Some years later, I asked him if he’d be okay with me using the Stunner. He was more than happy to tell me I could, to give me his blessing. So there’s a lot of history there and I think it’s unfortunate that my issues with Texas seem to have rubbed him the wrong way. But the important part is that he accepted my invitation.” – Sportskeeda
Stone Cold Steve Austin also vowed to whoop the a** of Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38
After Kevin Owens sent an invitation to the WWE Hall of Famer for an appearance at the special edition of the KO Show, Stone Cold Steve Austin sent a video message to the Prizefighter accepting the invitation and then also vowed to whoop Owens’ a** at WrestleMania 38. It would be very important to see how the two culminate the KO Show at the Grandest Stage of them All.
