Bodybuilding is a sport followed by many. It has a huge fanbase, and even many WWE Superstars initially started their careers as bodybuilders. WWE legend Rob Van Dam has also been a bodybuilder. In essence, he has a unique and impressive record, which not even prime Arnold Schwarzenegger could have beaten.
According to Fandom Wire, Van Dam has a record for lifting a whopping weight of 166.5 lbs while performing his iconic Van Dam Lift. This lift requires incredible flexibility, as the person needs to do a side split over a platform above the ground. Thereafter, he has to lift the weights from the ground to his waist level.

This is not a small feat, as lifting weights while doing a side split requires astronomical strength in the groin area of the person. According to some, even 7-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger cannot beat the former WWE Champion’s record. Rob Van Dam has been performing in WWE’s competitor promotion AEW right now.
Besides, the iconic record by the ECW legend is an unofficial record, which means it is not recognized by the Guinness World Records. Van Dam has been having the time of his life at AEW. Recently, he also expressed a wish to compete in a dream match against a top star in AEW.
Rob Van Dam’s iconic record has been allegedly beaten by Jujimufu
For years, RVD’s record was unbeatable. His Van Dam Lift has been a symbol of his relevancy throughout his life. Recently, popular bodybuilder Jon Call, a.k.a. Jujimufu, allegedly broke the WWE Hall of Famer’s record by lifting a total weight of 180 lbs.

Call posted this news on his Instagram. However, the weights were never measured, thereby calling into question the authenticity of the attempt. Irrespective, RVD reacted to this news by appreciating the efforts of Jujimufu. This record was a publicity stunt by the former WWE Champion, as no one thought it was going to touch such a high feat.
Similarly to RVD, the Guinness Book of World Records doesn’t consider Call’s record as well. Despite that, fans have shown their appreciation towards the pair for their impressive feat. For his stellar career, Van Dam was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
