WWE NCT Halloween Havoc saw Mandy Rose defeat Raquel Gonzalez to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. The event also saw Rose’s friends, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin defeat the team of Io Shirai and Zoey Stark and the team of Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta in Scareway to Hell Ladder match.
Both the matches saw the women of Toxic Attraction win and become champions for the first time in their career simultaneously. The win was most important to Mandy Rose after her underwhelming main roster run and second return to the developmental brand NXT recently. Rose had been cutting intriguing promos claiming that she works be standing at Halloween Havoc and the new NXT Women’s Champion proved her word.
How did Mandy Rose react to all the women of Toxic Attraction becoming champions?
Mandy Rose appeared on WWE the Bump this week and reacted to all the women of Toxic Attraction becoming champions and that to on the same night. The new NXT Women’s Champion was happy about the fact that she and her friends were the highlight of the show.
Well, it’s pretty obvious. I think Toxic Attraction is ready to take over. Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne are incredible athletes. I’m super excited for them. I think, also, while helping them grow in NXT and develop their characters, I didn’t think in the beginning, it would help me grow as much as well. So, that’s a big take-home I have. When you’re helping other people, you don’t know what you’re going to learn too and how you’re going to evolve.”
“We all have this kind of chemistry. With my character evolving, I was getting tired of the same old thing about this ‘Golden Goddess’ and ‘God’s Greatest Creation,’ and it was all about my looks and whatnot. I want people to start appreciating my work and show some more respect – the respect that I deserve. At the end of the day, Mandy Rose 2.0 came out, and she’s a little more edgier. And now, she’s champion.”
