Bayley’s record in WWE Money in the Bank ladder matches

Bayley
WWE Money in the Bank women’s ladder matches are a fairly new concept for the WWE Universe. The concept was introduced in 2017, and the inaugural match turned out to be quite controversial. The match took place at the MITB PPV, with Carmella grabbing the briefcase.
But the match received severe backlash from the fans, as James Ellsworth had interfered during the match. The match was annulled a couple of days later and a rematch was announced. Surprisingly, Carmella won that too. Since then there have been three women’s ladder matches and all the winners have a 100% win record in MITB.
One of the such winners is Bayley, who won the 2019 Money in the Bank ladder match. She went on to defeat – Carmella, Dana Brooke, Ember Moon, Mandy Rose, Naomi, Natalya and Nikki Cross. She went on to successfully cash-in her contract against Charlotte Flair, to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion.
Bayley will not be a part of WWE Money in the Bank 2021

Bayley was initially slated to be a part of the MITB 2021 PPV. But it wasn’t for the ladder match, it was the Smackdown Women’s Championship, against the current Champion – Bianca Belair. On the final Thunderdome episode of Smackdown, it was announced that Bayley had suffered an injury during training and will be out of action for nine months.
Subsequently, Carmella replaced her in the match, and the match itself has been moved from MITB PPV to an episode of Smackdown. This further created a ripple effect, as Liv Morgan replaced Carmella in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
WWE Money in the Bank 2021 airs live on 18th July, 2021.
