WWE has its sights set on The Show of Shows WrestleMania. With the progression of different feuds, WWE has some explosive plans for the event. According to new plans in development, the Stamford-based promotion is preparing a showdown between Gunther and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania Night One in Philadelphia.

According to Sports Illustrated, WWE plans for Gunther to win the Royal Rumble 2024 and headline WrestleMania 40. The plans for CM Punk and Rollins have been scrapped, and WWE is moving with a new scheme on the Road to WrestleMania. Therefore, The Ring General is the favorite to win the Rumble match this Saturday and face The Visionary at the Showcase of Immortals.

After a month of speculation that CM Punk would challenge world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, a new plan is in place. Gunther is the favorite to win the Royal Rumble and then dethrone Rollins on the first night of WrestleMania.

It was unexpected news for the fans, as The Best in the World has been a favorite to win the Royal Rumble for a long time. This new report has certainly taken the fans off the ground. However, it needs to be accepted with a grain of salt. Gunther implicitly challenged Rollins for the World Title at WrestleMania this week on Raw. As for CM Punk, he had a rugged interaction with Cody Rhodes to hype up the fans for the Royal Rumble.

Moreover, WrestleMania is just a few months away. It will all start this Saturday at the Royal Rumble. Fans will be keeping a keen eye on the 30-man match this week, as it will give a clear picture of the Grandest Stage of Them All this year. However, only time will tell who is going where on this erratic path towards WrestleMania 40.

Seth Rollins provides an update on his injury

Seth Rollins was injured last week on Raw against Jinder Mahal. The Visionary revealed this week that he has a torn MCL, and doctors suggest that it will take around 4-5 months for him to recover. However, he promised the WWE Universe that he would be defending the World Title at WrestleMania. In a recent interview, he detailed the status of his injury.

Speaking with Daniel Cormier on ESPN MMA, Rollins expressed that he is motivated to come back to his full strength. He mentioned that he was close to a catastrophic injury. However, as of now, his ACL is intact, and he is really looking forward to being in the ring once again.

Dodged a bullet the ACL is intact, the MCL will heal with time, I’m hoping to be back at full strength in around a month, [that’s] my kinda timeline. We’re gonna take it day-to-day, I’d like to be back in a month, I don’t wanna walk into WrestleMania & that be my first match in 2/3 months, that’s not gonna be good for me.
