At Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk and Randy Orton returned to the WWE. The most exciting return of them all though (pun intended) was of R-Truth. Since his return, he has become more over than ever in the WWE. Recently, he started another comedic angle by calling #DIY DX. He referred to Johnny Gargano as Shawn Michaels and Tommaso Ciampa as Triple H.

It appears WWE Universe referred to Johnny Gargano as The Heart Break Kid so much that the Raw Superstar had to change his bio. After getting an immense reception as the wrestling veteran, Gargano changed his X username to “Not Shawn Michaels”.

The 36-year-old Superstar’s decision to change the username on X enhances R-Truth’s comedic stunt and it shows how well he is playing along the John Cena fanboy. Moreover, The Miz and Truth recently reunited reforming Awesome Truth and teamed with #DIY to form “Regeneration X” adopted from Triple H and Michaels’s stable D-Generation X. Check out one tweet from Gargano below with his new username from below:

The newly formed team is adamant about taking down The Judgment Day and ending their dominance on Raw. Earlier, it was speculated that Awesome Truth would have taken on The Judgment Day for the Undisputed Tag Titles at WrestleMania. Now, it seems WWE is planning on having a massive 8-Man showdown in the future judging by their feud.

Johnny Gargano recalls his stellar NXT career

Johnny Gargano got the major popularity courtesy of his NXT career. Gargano was released from the WWE in 2021. However, under Triple H’s leadership, he returned and joined the main roster on Raw. Afterward, he joined forces with Tommaso Ciampa and reformed their team, #DIY. Recently, the former NXT Champion appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet to recall his farewell to his NXT career in 2021.

The 3-time NXT North American Champion stated how Ciampa and Shawn Michaels were present with him to bid him farewell. Moreover, the former NXT Champion spoke about his NXT debut in 2015. He stated how he considered Michaels as his hero at that time and he got to be with the Hall of Famer. Additionally, he remembered how he prepared shadowboxes for Mr. WrestleMania and Matt Bloom.

Gargano thanked the WWE for letting him speak on NXT despite not being under any contract. Later, it was revealed that he wanted some time off for the birth of his and Candice LeRae‘s child. The experienced wrestler returned to Raw in August of 2022 and began his main roster run and later aligned with Tommaso Ciampa.
