Born and raised in a small village in Punjab, Satnam Singh made his career in the NBA. His father was a farmer and therefore, Singh spent his childhood working alongside his father. The AEW star achieved early success at school-level tournaments because of his unfathomable height. At the age of 14, Singh went to the United States as a part of his training. IMG scouted him and invested in him as a potential basketball star.

After training at the IMG Academy, several franchises approached the Indian star. In 2015, Satnam Singh was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks with the 52nd overall pick. This made him the first Indian to ever get drafted into the NBA. His entire journey has been documented and released in a Netflix documentary with the title “One in a Billion.”
