Glenn Jacobs, better known by his wrestling name, Kane, has transitioned successfully into the world of politics. The WWE legend is currently the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, running for his second term. Amid the ongoing 2024 election campaign, Donald Trump recently endorsed the fellow Republican during a rally. Now, days later, the wrestler turned politician commented on whether he would step inside the squared circle again.
While speaking with David Gornoski, Kane claimed that he hasn’t completely shut down the doors for a possible return to WWE. While he seemed pessimistic regarding competing again, the former World Champion resorted to the common phrase in wrestling, “never say never.” Kane revealed that he still watches the product and expressed how athletic the stars are today.

I am probably not getting in the ring. I watch it now and I'm amazed at how athletic everybody is. I don't think my body can take that kind of punishment anymore, you know? We always say never say never. So I leave the door open to many different things.Kane on the possibility of an in-ring return
Therefore, he believes that it would not be a good idea for him to wrestle again. The Big Red Machine’s last appearance on WWE programming was at SummerSlam 2022. Kane announced the attendance numbers for the event that took place in Nashville. However, his last in-ring performance came during the Men’s Royal Rumble match in 2021.
Months later, Kane would take his deserved place in the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame. The 56-year-old has arguably made one of the greatest debuts in professional wrestling history. Throughout his career, Kane broke numerous records and won multiple championships, cementing his place among the all-time greats in WWE.
Kane heaped praise on Sting ahead of The Icon’s retirement match
Similar to Kane, Sting had one of the most unique and well-liked gimmicks in professional wrestling. A few months ago, the 64-year-old AEW star revealed that he would retire at the upcoming pay-per-view, Revolution. In the same interview with Gornoski, The Big Red Machine expressed his thoughts on The Icon.

Kane revealed that the one match he had with Sting was his only match in WCW. Furthermore, the Hall of Famer talked about how the person behind the paint, Steve Borden, has always been nice to him. The two-time WWE World Champion claimed that he grew up idolizing Stinger. Therefore, it was a huge moment for him to share the ring with The Icon.
I had one match in WCW, and that was with Sting. That was very early in my career, and then he came to WWE late in his career. He’d already retired and come back, and that was also really late in my career. Steve’s a really great guy.Kane on Sting (H/T: Wrestlezone)
Needless to say, Kane has immense respect for Sting as a wrestler and human being. The Vigilante is all set to wrap up his 40-year long career in March. Sting will team up with his protege, Darby Allin, to take on The Young Bucks in a Tag Team Championship match.
