AJ Styles appears in a special video message to celebrate Impact Wrestling’s 20th anniversary

Last night saw Impact Wrestling’s 20th annual Slammiversary pay-per-view event emanate from the Asylum located in Nashville,Tennessee. Former TNA star AJ Styles also got featured during the event in a special video message addressing the fans.
Prior joining WWE in 2016, Styles earned a name for himself wrestling in various independent circuits but the place where the world came to know what this man is capable of doing was the Impact Wrestling. He wrestled for the promotion from 2002 until 2013 having tremendously octane matches against some of the best wrestlers around.
Styles had some of the great TNA matches against Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Sting, Jeff Jarrett, EC3 and so many more. In the video message Styles recalled his first TNA match which was himself teaming up with Jerry Lynn and Low-Ki to face the Flying Elvises. He also said that his match against Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels changed everything. He added that they weren’t 6’5, jacked but they changed everything.
He added that they together transcended wrestling. Further AJ Styles thanked fans for selecting him as the most IMPACTful X-division wrestling of the past 20 years. He ended the message by thanking WWE for allowing him to do this video as it was very special for him.

AJ Styles recently signed a new contract with WWE
AJ Styles is undoubtedly one of the greatest in-ring technician wrestlers of all- time. He debuted for WWE as a surprise entrant during the 30-men Men’s Royal Rumble match in 2016 and has not looked back an inch since then as he is a former 2-time WWE Champion, a 3 time United States Champion, 1 time Intercontinental Champion plus 1 time Raw Tag Team Champion as well.
He was recently involved in a personal feud with WWE Hall of Famer Edge to whom he lost at Wrestlemania earlier this year. Styles also lost to Seth Rollins this past week on Monday Night Raw in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.
Styles recently signed a multi-year deal with WWE which makes him bound to the company for a better part of the future.
