“The way he used to sell fights was the reason why he makes millions”- Alberto Del Rio wants to see UFC legend thrive in WWE

Alberto Del Rio thinks former UFC champion is a great Entertainer
Alberto Del Rio was one of the most talked-about WWE Superstars of 2011s and 2012s during when he gained strong popularity after becoming the 1st ever Mexican-born wrestler to win the WWE championship. He also holds an incredible record of being the only wrestler in WWE history to win the the Royal Rumble match as well as the Money in the Bank ladder match in the same calendar year and that was in 2011.
The former WWE champion was recently asked during an interview about who should be the next guy following Riddle on the paths of transitioning from UFC to WWE and his answer came rapidly. Alberto Del Rio named UFC sensation Conor McGregor as to whom he wants to see in WWE.
Here’s what the former Mexican wrestler Alberto Del Rio had to say upon McGregor’s legacy and what could he can bring on the table along with himself –
“Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor is an entertainer. He is great. He is a great fighter but the reason why he became a money maker is because he knows how to entertain. We all saw him, the way he used to sell fights was the reason why he makes millions. You could be a really good wrestler but if you don’t produce money for the company, if you don’t sell tickets, you don’t go anywhere.”
Del Rio insisted on the fact that if you want to succeed as a pro-wrestler, you should be able to draw numbers and move tickets for the company you’re working for and just being a good pro-wrestler can’t make much difference if the above mentioned traits are not there inside you. Conor McGregor have them absolutely all and Del Rio called him a great “entertainer” citing a reason why he makes millions of dollars.
Well, it’s safe to say that Conor McGregor will surely draw some mainstream attention towards WWE if he’s there dishing out some of his offenses on the WWE television. There are some potential dream matches fans would definitely love to see for McGregor if he decides to step foot inside of a WWE ring in the foreseeable future.
Alberto Del Rio thinks Conor McGregor could be a humongous asset for WWE

McGregor has previously teased his jump to Stephanie McMahon’s company as after Wrestlemania 35 got concluded, the former UFC Champion tweeted out a congratulatory message for the 1st ever all women’s Wrestlemania main- event between Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. He ended his tweet by saying “Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do, Or could I……”
This was considered by many as a heavy indication about McGregor’s future landing space as everyone started speculating that he’s arriving soon in WWE but that didn’t obviously happened.
During the summer of 2016, a spicy incident happened between Conor McGregor and Roman Reigns as the former UFC champion said that he would slap the head off the entire WWE roster to which Roman Reigns brutally responded by saying “You are the size of my leg, Shut up”. This Twitter exchange drew many eyeballs as Reigns mouth-shutted McGregor in an epic fashion.
