Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is a world class athlete and she has proven it timely in the ring.Charlotte has faced almost every top female wrestler during her time. In addition to being an exceptional storyteller, Charlotte Flair is strong , Athletic and has a wide range of moves. She has provided us with some of the best matches since her WWE debut. Charlotte’s notable best matches are Vs. Asuka at WrestleMania 34, Vs. Asuka Vs. Becky Lynch at TLC 2018, Vs. Sasha Banks at NXT Live, Vs. Becky Lynch at Evolution and many more. Charlotte Flair has been inactive since the past 2 and a half months.
Back in October 2021, Flair exchanged her RAW Women’s Championship with Becky Lynch’s SmackDown Women’s Championship as she was drafted to SmackDown and Lynch was drafted to RAW. The exchange made Flair a six time SmackDown Women’s Champion and now holds the record for most reigns. Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s Championship was on line at WrestleMania 38 against Ronda Rousey and she defeated rousey to retain her title. Rousey then defeated Flair at WrestleMania Backlash to win the Championship. Thereafter Charlotte took time off to marry her longtime boyfriend Andrade.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss have faced each other in the past
Back in 2017, Charlotte Flair had faced Alexa Bliss for the first time in a WWE Live event. Both fought each other at the Survivor Series 2017, where the then RAW Women’s Champion Bliss was defeated by the then SmackDownWomen’s Champion Flair in a Champions vs Champions singles match. Charlotte Flair had won the SmackDown Women’s Championship just a few days before the Survivor series event by defeating Natalya.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss faced each other again last year at Extreme rules for the RAW Women’s Championship, where the latter got defeated and failed to win the title. Charlotte then would tear bliss’ doll Lily after the match. Alexa then sobbed inconsolably by holding Lily’s remnants in the ring.
In a recent interview with Jinny Couture of BT Sports, Alexa Bliss stated that Charlotte Flair absolutely took her under her wing when they both started their careers at the same time. Bliss revealed how she formed a group with them when Charlotte allowed her to ride to the shows with her and Mojo Rawley. Bliss even shared that one of her debut matches was against Charlotte.
“We [Alexa and Charlotte] were starting around the same time,” said Bliss. “Charlotte definitely took me under her wing. She would let me ride the shows with her and Mojo [Rawley]. I would ride to the shows with them and we became a very close group. I was really happy that one of my debut matches was against Charlotte. It was kind of like a little full-circle moment.”
Charlotte Flair is reportedly set to make her return to the ring very soon. Whether she will be a part of SummerSlam or not is unknown as of now.
