Andrade El Idolo is one of the most talented and skilled Mexican wrestlers in the world right now. He is currently working for AEW, but his contract is soon expiring. Now, he posted a cryptic message on social media that sparks speculation that he could be rejoining WWE again.

The 34-year-old superstar posted a clock emoji in the tweet, implying that his contract is almost over with AEW. Fans also divulged this speculation and felt that he could join the Stamford-based company soon. He is the husband of WWE legend Charlotte Flair, so the move from AEW to WWE makes sense for him.

He made his debut in AEW on a June 4, 2021, episode of Dynamite under the name of Andrade El Idolo and defeated Matt Sydal in his first match. In his latest match, he defeated Bryan Danielson via pinfall on the December 5th episode of AEW Collison. Although he has produced great matches, he has not done anything notable yet.

And his deal is coming up relatively soon. So he wanted to go back in case he ended up in WWE. He's not decided on what he's doing next. He's not signed a new deal. But if he does go to WWE, he knows he can't go back to Arena Mexico. My impression is that it's up relatively soon.

Dave Meltzer further reported his contract is up soon, and he’s thinking about either joining WWE or going back to the Mexican promotion, CMLL. It will be interesting to see whether Andrade joins his old company or not once his contract expires.

Andrade El Idolo causing Bryan Danielson an injury was just part of the work

Andrade El Idolo and the American Dragon Bryan Danielson fought one-on-one in the Continental Classic Blue League on AEW Collison. Fans thought Bryan suffered a serious injury, but that was not the case.

Danielson and Andrade have fought before, and in that match, he unfortunately injured his orbital bone. Many fans noticed a similar moment happening during the match. Andrade poked Bryan’s eyes during the match, which led to the latter bleeding. A report from Fightful Select said that it was all part of the storyline, and Bryan is not seriously injured.

Andrade won the match via pinfall and progressed in the competition. It will be interesting to see how much time is left on his contract and whether he should leave AEW and join his former company or not.
