Looking back at Ashante Thee Adonis’ career in WWE

The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated new hope for the career of Ashante Thee Adonis, fka Tehuti Miles. Adonis has a background of serving in the United States military as well as playing football for the University of Maryland.

His showboating skills and out-of-the-box ideas, once he sauntered to the ring, have managed to make him stand out. It all began once he made his debut in NXT back in 2020. Since then, he has faced several top-level NXT Superstars.

After having a fruitful run in MCW and ROH, Adonis brought his A-Game to NXT. Top Dolla, Isaiah Swerve Scott, and B-Fab soon ruled NXT and were drafted to SmackDown in 2021. However, the tides turned as they encountered backstage heat owing to Top Dolla. They could only wrestle one match before they were released.

It was on 12th August 2022, that Hit Row made a triumphant return. They had their first feud against the Maximum Male Models, and they emerged victorious. Later, after defeating Legado Del Fantasma and The Viking Raiders, they managed to secure a match against The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. Despite falling short, it was an exhilarating attempt. Since then, Adonis has tried working as a singles performer. Time will tell whether the recent teasers are a hint towards a bright future for Adonis in WWE.
