Austin Theory stunned everyone when he won the United States title at Survivor Series WarGames. ‘The Now’ recently appeared on the Raw after Survivor Series to discuss his victory and why winning the title matters so much to him.
Former Champion Seth Rollins interrupted Austin Theory in the middle of his segment and played some mind games with the youngest US Champion in WWE history. He attempted to trigger Theory into a rematch for the title by calling him a foolish kid.
Seth asserted that Monday Night is still his property, and Austin is only present to hold the title. This was extremely offensive to the champion, yet he did not answer, allowing Seth to gain momentum in the segment. Seth then challenged Austin to a fight.
Everyone applauded the concept of that match because they both have fantastic chemistry and can provide a good match. But Austin had another plan, as he stated he will fight Seth on his time, showing some wisdom, which his former self did not possess.
Austin Theory is getting better day by day
Before his Money In The Bank cash-in, Austin Theory was just a young, cocky, bulked-up superstar who rode on Mr. McMahon’s coattails and selfie sticks. But since the humiliating cash-in, he has changed completely. In fact, he now despises being called foolish, a kid, or even a protege on Raw.
He’s proving himself now, as he had a great fight at Survivor Series and, like a true heel, refused to wrestle Seth Rollins on tonight’s episode of Raw. Everyone is enjoying his newfound attitude, and is hopeful of WWE doing some big things with him and the A-Town goes down!
The current US Champion is about to face a tremendous obstacle as Seth Rollins, who will be his first challenger following Survivor Series. Both men may clash on a WWE PLE, but since there are none until the Royal Rumble, they might have a match on Raw relatively soon, so let’s wait for that.
