The current and inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, legitimately suffered a leg injury during his match on Raw. Currently, the severity of the injury remains unknown, pending the results of the MRI reports.
Rollins fought Jinder Mahal for the World Heavyweight Championship on the latest edition of WWE Raw. The Architect won the match and retained the title despite interference from Indus Sher, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest.
According to the sources, Rollins suffered an injury to his left leg during the later stages of the match. They believe the situation could escalate, noting that despite sustaining an injury, The Visionary continued to execute moves such as the Pedigree and Curb Stomp. While some fans were pleased with Seth Rollins retaining the title, others disapproved of the outcome, expressing the sentiment that he was being overpushed.
"I just know he's getting an MRI and then we'll find out. Basically, I was told it could be something minor, could be something worse. We won't know until the MRI result comes back."Dave Meltzer via WOR
The new year has started well for Jinder, as he garnered a lot of attention after the segment with The Rock. In an interesting turn of events, many fans wanted him to win the title after Tony Khan got involved. The WWE Universe eagerly awaits an update on Seth Rollins, expressing concern about his potential participation in the upcoming mega-events.
Seth Rollins could miss WrestleMania 40 after the injury scare
The severity of Seth Rollins’ injury is unknown. However, if it proves to be serious and requires an absence of more than two months, he could potentially miss WrestleMania, the biggest show in professional wrestling.
Dave Meltzer revealed a concern about changing the plans for the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night One. He expressed his disappointment that if he missed more than three months, he would lose all the momentum as champion and miss the spectacle.
"This would be a bad time if he needs to be out for a couple of months. Really Really Bad. He's got a big program and everything, he's got a championship. If it's a week, it's a week. You know, whatever. It'd kill a lot of momentum and be frustrating for him. Three months would be not the greatest either. He'd miss WrestleMania for three months, yeah,"Dave Meltzer via WOR
Fans are hopeful that Seth will make a quick recovery and return to wrestling soon. The whole WWE Universe is waiting for the match between Rollins and CM Punk at WrestleMania 40. Only time will tell whether Rollins’ injury will ruin that or not.
