Former WWE star Batista has a unique personality to go with his name. He has one of the most perfectly carved physiques in professional wrestling, but he is also very possessive of his family and girlfriend.  

While speaking on ‘Cafe de Rene‘ podcast, Kenny Bolin recalled the encounter he had with Batista about his ex-wife. Many OVW personalities were going for a baseball game and ‘The Animal’ wanted to accompany them. Bolin jokingly replied that there wasn’t any room for him, but they could take the “cute girl” along.

The girl was Batista’s girlfriend at that time and he didn’t like someone hitting on her and told him, “I know this is probably gonna get me some heat with Cornette, but I just want to tell you I don’t appreciate you hitting on my girlfriend.” Though intended as a joke, Kenny’s statements were taken quite seriously.

This was the last time the two were seen together. The two stayed away from each other for the rest of the time Batista was associated with the OVW. Bolin apologised to Batista for his remark and assured that he would never do that again. Talking about ‘The Animal’, he told everyone, “I’ll never speak to that stupid m**********r again.”

Batista’s ex-wife was banned from attending events in OVW

Batista worked in OVW for almost two years. While Angie appeared for all of Batista’s matches, she didn’t fail to prove herself as his biggest supporter. Jim Cornett was the promotion’s booker back then, and he banned Angie from the OVW arena. The reason behind the step was her cheering for her man.

Batista was playing the heel in the division. The authorities did not want Angie’s cheering to send a wrong message to the viewers. This led to more heat between the former OVW star and the people in power of the company’s management.

The couple married in 1998 and have a son together. Angie is still one of the most remembered loves of his life. The WWE star still has a tattoo on his arm in her memory, as interpreted by the people. Despite having a great relationship, the couple separated in 2006. This broke the hearts of many fans who shipped the couple.
