The notorious heel group Damage CTRL is now stronger than ever with the inclusion of new superstars. However, it might be a matter of concern for the leader of the group, Bayley. It seems like suddenly she is the odd one out, and her leadership might be in danger as Asuka expressed her desire to be the leader of the faction.
Asuka shared a cryptic tweet, questioning whether she’s not the center. Moreover, The Empress of Tomorrow wrote that she believes she should be in control of the Damage CTRL because she is a living legend. Her outlandish tweet ends with a question mark, asking fans the same question. The ambiguity in her tweet left fans on tenterhooks.
During a six-women tag team match between Damage CTRL and Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka on the November 11th episode of SmackDown, The Empress of Tomorrow turned her back on her team and aligned herself with the dark side. With Asuka’s inclusion, the group now seems like a legitimate threat to all the superstars in the women’s division.
However, the person who’s most affected by it is none other than Bayley. When Damage CTRL was a three-woman group, Bayley was the sure-shot leader and the mouthpiece of the group. However, since Asuka and Kairi Sane joined the group, she has become a bit insecure about her position in Damage CTRL.
Whenever the Role Model tries to convey something, it is met with awkward silence by the other four members of the group. Asuka’s recent tweet could be a tease of her desire to be the leader of the faction. For now, the Damage CTRL will take on the team of Bianca Belair at Survivor Series in a WarGames match.
Asuka is very happy to team up with Kairi Sane again after two years
Asuka and Kairi Sane are really good friends in real life. They were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions three years ago, where they dominated the women’s division. However, Kairi Sane left the Stamford-based promotion back in 2021, only to come back at Crown Jewel 2023.
Kairi Sane is back and has joined Damage CTRL, aligning with Iyo Sky. Moreover, Asuka did the same thing when she betrayed her team and sided with the heel faction. The Empress of Tomorrow was very happy to work with Kairi again now that they are on the same team. The 42-year-old shared a heartfelt message on social media, sharing a video.
Even now, when I remember memories with you, I get tears of laughter I love you.Asuka
Asuka’s wish to wrestle with her best friend, Kairi, came true. She will compete in a WarGames match at Survivor Series with her Damage CTRL partners against the team of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, and Bianca Belair. It will be interesting to see who will come out on top at the end of WarGames.
