A catchphrase that was an embodiment of Steve Austin for a while in his career may have just emboldened Bayley. The latter’s been in a fix for the past two weeks after her Damage CTRL sisters stabbed her in the back. Last night on SmackDown, Dakota Kai approached Bayley. She requested the ‘Role Model’ to shield her from the Iyo Sky-led trio after they issued a warning earlier on the show.

Bayley told Dakota that she couldn’t trust anyone at the moment. And then, the former Damage CTRL leader walked away. However, she seems to have made up her mind. Taking it to her X account, the 34-year-old posted a GIF of Stone Cold. Though she didn’t include any captions, fans believe that Bayley’s going with Austin’s renowned adage, ‘Don’t trust anyone’.

The Texas Rattlesnake made a career out of sporting such ideologies. And now, former Women’s Champion Bayley looks set to espouse a similar modus operandi for herself. Last week on SmackDown, when Dakota Kai saved her from an ominous onslaught from Iyo Sky, Asuka, and Kairi Sane, it appeared like Bayley would acknowledge her support.

During their exchange this week, The Role Model did thank Kai for being the savior last Friday, but nothing much. For what it’s worth, the ongoing mind games are poised to play a pivotal role in shaping Bayley’s WrestleMania clash against Iyo Sky. It needs to be seen where Dakota Kai’s allegiance lies. Thus far, she has shown signs of aversion for The Damage CTRL. However, whether there’s a twist in the tale remains to be seen.

Steve Austin recently commented about potential match against CM Punk

Nearly two years after he made his in-ring return at WrestleMania 38, Steve Austin was asked whether he has anything left to do in this business. Speaking to ESPN, the Texas Rattlesnake called the realm of sports entertainment addictive.

Austin underscored the aphorism that prohibits one from denying any possibility in pro wrestling. And then the WWE HOF’er turned his attention to CM Punk. The 59-year-old called The Best in the World a great friend of his, apart from being a great wrestler.

After being asked if there’s any chance Austin gets in the ring with Punk, the Bionic Redneck said, “We’ll see.” A few months ago, Fightful Select reported that backstage circles in WWE were optimistic that Punk vs. Austin could finally be a possibility.
