The Damage CTRL has completed one year since their debut, last week on July 30, 2023. The heel faction made their debut at SummerSlam last year to confront Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair. And now, a year later, Iyo Sky has achieved success by winning the WWE Women’s Championship at the same premium live event. The Role Model is seemingly happy for Sky and her faction, so she has gotten a special haircut.
Bayley took to Twitter to share pictures of Damage CTRL and her new haircut. The post has four pictures, one of which shows the debut of the faction a year ago at SummerSlam 2022. Two of those pictures showed Iyo’s championship victory and their celebration together. While the last photo was of Bayley’s haircut where she designed a ‘1’ shaped figure on the backside of her head.
The faction’s debut at the Biggest Part of Summer last year was also Iyo Sky’s main roster debut, having her name changed from Io Shirai. On the other hand, Dakota Kai returned to the company after being released that year due to her contract expiration. On the other hand, Bayley was also a returning star as she came back from a torn ACL injury. She was on hiatus as she suffered an injury back in 2021 during her training at the WWE Performance Center.
Damage CTRL’s debut was one of the most praised moments of SummerSlam 2022, as it was the first big move in Triple H’s creative bookings. Nevertheless, it all has come full circle as they confronted Bianca Belair in their debut, and now Iyo pinned her a year later and won the title within one year of her main roster debut. It will be exciting to see the direction of Iyo Sky as there are numerous contenders for the WWE Women’s Championship.

What’s next for Damage CTRL?

SummerSlam 2023 was a delight for Damage CTRL as all three stars reunited. Dakota Kai made her appearance for the first time since her injury, and all the members of the faction celebrated Iyo’s Sky championship victory together. Therefore, fans have been wondering what lies ahead for Damage CTRL.
It looks like Bayley will continue her feud with Shotzi, as it has been getting intense with the latter’s character change. Shotzi appeared with her bald look last week on SmackDown to avenge the Damage CTRL leader. This rivalry will likely culminate in a matchup in the upcoming premium live event.
On the other hand, Iyo Sky will be seen celebrating her win on SmackDown. It looks obvious that she will be challenged by Bianca Belair or Asuka for a rematch for the WWE Women’s Championship. On the other hand, Dakota Kair is still not medically cleared, as revealed during the post-show press conference.
