Bayley was the babyface of WWE for 7 years, until she surprised everyone by turning heel in September 2019. She even destroyed her Bayley buddies on an edition of SmackDown live in the month of October the same year, thereby establishing her heel persona. Last year she disrespected WWE Legend Hulk Hogan and Titus O’ Neil at WrestleMania 37 but was then beaten up by the Bella Twins. She even attacked her then Tag Team partner when they lost the Tag titles.
Bayley’s Heel turn as a SmackDown Women’s Champion has been a great success and the WWE Universe can’t wait to see what next she brings to the table. She has been out of action since a year now, she was booked for a match against Bianca Belair at last year’s Money in the Bank Live Event but on July 9 WWE announced that she had suffered a torn ACL during her training. “The Huggable one” had lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell 2020 to Sasha Banks, she has since failed to win it and hasn’t won any other championship since then.
Bayley responds to Carmella with her own mom joke
Bayley recently indicated that she has still not recovered from her injury, with that said we might not see “The Huggable one” in action any time soon. Today on twitter she shared an inspirational quote saying that Consistency is goes a long way, she meant that steadiness in life is necessary to be successful person.
To which Carmella replied to her that she didn’t realize that Bayley’s mom changed her name. Bayley took no time and responded back to the “Staten Island Queen” saying that Carmella’s mom changed her shoes because they were sweaty as her mom had been running through Bayley’s mind all day.

“Your mom changed…her shoes….Cause they were sweaty. From running through my mind all day…..”
Bayley has been good friends with Carmella since their NXT days and both have competed against each other many times in the past. Carmella had also faced “The Huggable one” for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on an edition of SmackDown in Feb 2020, which the latter had won by pinning Carmella through the help of the ropes.
At present, Carmella has won the opportunity to face Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship match at this Sunday’s Money in the Bank Live Event. Carmella replaced Rhea Ripley as the latter had been sidelined due to some health issues.
