Bayley spoke with NBC Sports to promote WrestleMania 33, where she will defend her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte, Sasha Banks, and Nia Jax in a Fatal Four-Way match. She discussed the pressure she puts on herself as she prepares for her first WrestleMania as champion, and she suggested an intriguing name for a potential “dream match.”
After only seven months on the main roster, Bayley’s first appearance at WrestleMania 33 is the Showcase of the Immortals, and she admits she’s obsessing a little too much about it. The topic shifted to Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon’s storyline animosity and whether Bayley would be the one to finally deliver the Queen of the Heels a little babyface comeuppance.
Bayley said, “I’m probably doing way too much. Leading up to it I’m just stressing myself out. Do I need to get into the gym three times a day and try to still make everyone happy by doing all of these things that I need to do? I don’t even really know how to prepare for Mania, so I’m just doing what I think I need to do and I might be doing too much. I think once I get to Orlando and I can digest what’s actually happening and appreciate it and know like holy crap dude, you’re here, then I’ll be able to calm down a bit. Right now, I have to be over-prepared.”
She continued, “I’ve thought about that so many times. Even when I was a kid (laughs). When she was having matches with Lita, I was like I want to have matches with Stephanie one day. That’s one of my dream matches to be honest. If it could continue on, like you said with Austin and Vince, that would be so much fun, but I’m sure it’s a little much to ask for right now.”

Where is Bayley these days?
The former WWE Women’s Champion celebrated her 33rd birthday this June. Following an ACL injury last summer, the actress is still out of commission with the firm.
At Money in the Bank 2021, Bayley was set to face Bianca Belair in an “I Quit” match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She did, however, suffer a ruptured ACL while practicing for the fight.
Bayley was injured on July 9th, 2021, and the firm predicted that she would be out for nine months as a result. Bayley would have been cleared to return in time for WrestleMania, which she had previously hinted about. Unfortunately, a return appearance at The Show of Shows was never planned.
