It’s been a year since Bayley has been out of action now, she was supposed to wrestle against Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at MITB but was then sidelined due to an injury she suffered at the performance center. Therefore, the match was cancelled with only the RAW Women’s Championship being on the line at MITB 2021 event. After holding the record for the most time as the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley lost the title to Sasha Banks at the 2020 Hell in a Cell.

Sasha Banks would eventually lose the title to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37, after which Bayley challenged Belair for the Championship at WrestleMania Backlash 2021. At the event, Bianca nabbed a win against Bayley with the help of her hair. At Hell in a Cell 2021, Bayley had another opportunity to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Bianca, but she failed to win. Thereafter, she was scheduled to face Belair at MITB 2021 but wasn’t declared fit due to injury. Since then, she has been out of action and is a free agent now, as she wasn’t present during the 2021 draft.

The SummerSlam 2022 is set to take place on July 30 at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee. According to a report by PWI, The Huggable One is expected to be at the stadium. She may or may not be seen performing at the event, but when her theme plays in the stadium, she will undoubtedly draw a sizable crowd. The Role Model has given hints on the social media this past month indicating that she would return soon the Squared Circle.

Bayley’s heel persona was appreciated by the WWE Universe and it would be great if she returns as a heel. Since being a free agent, we are unsure as to which Women Champion from the rosters, she would challenge next. Currently, her real-life best friend Liv Morgan is the SmackDown Women’s Champion and Bianca Belair, whom she was supposed to face before her unfortunate injury, is the RAW Women’s Champion.

Vince McMahon hanged his boots on this Saturday after being in the business for over 50 years. Many Superstars expressed their gratitude towards the former CEO and Chairman of the company. Many of them had the opportunity from McMahon, which is why they are today’s superstars.

Bayley too, took to twitter to express her gratitude towards her Former Boss by sharing an unseen backstage photo of her and Sasha Banks with him. The picture is from the backstage of 2019 Elimination Chamber, when she was a part of the Tag Team Boss ‘n’ Hug connection with Sasha Banks. Both women can be seen hugging McMahon after winning the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

At the SummerSlam, Liv Morgan will face Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Bianca Belair will face Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship. We will have to wait until July 30th to see whether our beloved “The Role Model” makes her return or not.
