In some really unfortunate news, it appears like Bayley suffered a knee injury at the latest WWE live event.

The Damage CTRL is a cursed faction. After Dakota Kai suffered a knee injury earlier on, group leader Bayley has now joined the list. Tonight’s WWE house show in Maryland saw Asuka defend her Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Bayley. At one point, when Bayley was about to launch herself at Asuka, the former got into an uncomfortable position, thus tweaking her knee. 

Soon after, The Role Model fell down and favored her knee. Match referee Jessica Carr and Charlotte Flair also checked on the former Women’s Champion. After a while, the referee threw up an X-sign, confirming a real injury to Bayley. Medical staff reached the ringside area and attended the Role Model. She then headed backstage in a limping state.

That unfortunate sight stirred the WWE Universe, especially her fans. However, the 34-year-old soon updated her well-wishers after tweeting that she’d be alright soon. In another piece of good news, a fan outside the arena captured some footage that showed Bayley heading out without any crutches. Moreover, she had no external support to aid her movement. 

It remains to be seen for how long Bayley misses any WWE action. She’s one of the top stars in the company, and the WWE officials can’t afford to have her sidelined for too long. Apart from that, she accompanies her Damage CTRL partner, Iyo Sky, to the ring. Without Bayley by her side, Sky would definitely feel incomplete and vulnerable.

Will Bayley turn on Iyo Sky down the road?

Something seems to have been going on in Bayley’s mind as of late. In the last couple of weeks, whenever Iyo Sky asked her leader to cash-in the Money in the Bank contract for her, the Role Model dropped the ball each time. It’s not like the turn is coming next week, but fans believe that Bayley doesn’t want Sky to succeed in her cash-in. 

As known, Iyo Sky handcuffed Bayley alongside Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank to grab the briefcase. And for the obvious reasons, Bayley wasn’t thrilled. Although the former Hugger is apparently fine with the Genius of the Sky at the moment, that could change without any notice. 

In what would be a perfect world scenario, WWE could book a high-profile program between these two. For that, Iyo Sky needs to successfully cash-in her contract, potentially at SummerSlam. And, at that very moment, Bayley grows jealous and takes down the Japanese wrestler. There wouldn’t be a more apt way to kick-off their feud, if WWE plans to. Sky’s first championship rivalry should be against her mentor.
