“It’s been a journey….”- Bayley expresses gratitude towards Bianca Belair ahead of their match on RAW

Bayley has been looking strong after her return to the WWE at SummerSlam this year, having formed the stable DAMAGE CTRL with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky. The stable has been a dominant one as Sky and Kai have won the Women’s Tag Team Championship and have defended it two times recently.

Although the defense involved Bayley’s outside help, they have successfully managed to defend the championships. On the other hand, Bayley lost her first PLE singles match at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event against Bianca Belair.

The DAMAGE CTRL was outperformed by Belair at the Extreme Rules PLE. This was the third time that Bayley has lost to Bianca Belair in a PLE. The previous two times being last year’s Hell in a Cell and WrestleMania Backlash.

The two were involved in a feud with each other last year for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and were also slated to face each other at the MITB 2021 Live event, but The Role Model being injured due to an ACL tear sidelined her from the event. The Role Model was out of action until her return to this year’s SummerSlam, where she resumed her rivalry.

The Former SmackDown Women’s Champion has now posted a thankful message to Bianca Belair on Instagram. According to Bayley, the two of them have experienced a lot together over the past couple of years, and it has been a trip that has been frustrating, distracting, inspiring, and exhausting.

The Role Model started out by complimenting Belair on her rapid progress and successes inside the company. She praised Belair for his dedication to the WWE and everything he has done to advance the company.

 “We’ve been through a lot together in these last couple of years and it’s been a journey…. I’ve seen you all over the country making appearances to make sure @wwe is represented the right way. And for that, I thank you,”

Bianca Belair had praised Bayley in the past

In a 2021 Sports Illustrated interview, Bianca Belair commended Bayley, who was dealing with an ACL injury at the time. The Role Model was described by Belair as a locker room leader and an amazing person from the inside out.

Belair claimed that The Former SmackDown Women’s Champion has taught her a lot about how to face difficult situations and swiftly and readily adjust to them. Belair remarked that Bayley is a legend in the making and that she makes everything seem so simple.
