Beth Phoenix recently made an appearance on RAW in Toronto, where she saved her real-life husband Edge from the Judgment Day. Edge had defeated Damien Priest in the main event of RAW and after the bout Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley attacked him, after which Beth Phoenix saved him from them. This week on RAW, it was announced that Edge would team up with Rey Mysterio to fight against The Judgment Day at the Clash at the Castle Live event. This will be the first time since 2002, Edge will team up with Rey Mysterio.

Edge, who returned to wrestling in the 2020 had recently said that he wants to make the most of this run in the WWE. In a recent appearance on Busted Open Podcast, Beth Phoenix spoke about how she felt when Edge made her WWE comeback. She said that they had a lot of emotions before the Rated R Superstar’s comeback at the Royal Rumble. Beth Phoenix said that a couple of nights before they had to be at the Rumble event, they had to be very sneaky and had taken a chartered flight to reach the event.

“Before the Royal Rumble comeback, we had so many emotions, I was terrified, just terrified…. A couple of nights before we left to go to that event, you know, everything was super sneaky at that time, we had a chartered flight, like a druid. We watched ‘Rocky Balboa’. … We just bawled our eyes out because it’s resonated with us so much.”

This year, Beth Phoenix had teamed up with her husband Edge to face The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag team match at the Royal Rumble. They defeated Miz and Maryse at the event. Beth Phoenix had called it a once in a lifetime opportunity and performing together was like a dream come true for her. Beth Phoenix was also expected to be a part of the match at the Clash at the Castle as the Judgement Day too has a female performer Rhea Ripley but the match now being a tag team event, the ladies are expected to be at their respective sides.
