REVEALED: Why Bianca Belair is set to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against WWE Official?
Bianca Belair and Sonya Deville
Bianca Belair became the Raw Women’s Champion after defeating the Man, Becky Lynch at the 38th edition of the Grandest Stage of them All. But the EST of WWE wasn’t aware of the fact that her championship celebration would be interrupted by WWE official Sonya Deville who came out to reveal the first challenger for the new champion.
While speculations can up for Asuka, Bayley, and Becky Lynch, it was the WWE official Sonya Deville who attacked the new Raw Women’s Champion and revealed herself to be the challenger for Belair. On the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Belair took revenge from Deville and tried to deliver the kiss of death when the dirty player threatened to suspend her.
According to Wresling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, WWE choosing Sonya Deville as the opponent for the EST of WWE rather than the likes of Asuka, Bayley, Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch was that the company didn’t want to continue the Belair-Lynch saga once again. The report aslo claimed that Deville was just a short-time opponent for Belair until something is sorted out.
Bianca Belair was fined for attacking Sonya Deville recently on Raw
While Belair didn’t land any big moves on the WWE official, laying her hand on Sonya Deville brought her a fine of one dollar which looked like Adam Pearce was done with Deville’s misuse of power and so charged only one dollar for the EST.
While the WWE Universe thinks the fine was for a dollar, the Raw Women’s Champion revealed that the fine was only of 50 cents. Belair gave a dollar instead of the 50 cents so that the other 50 could go on to Sonya Deville as a tip. Here’s what she said on Twitter: “The fine was actually 50 cents… But you can keep the tip @SonyaDevilleWWE“. Belair will now defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Sonya Deville on Monday Night Raw in Nashville, Tennessee.
