This year was fantastic for Bianca Belair since she ended it as the RAW Women’s Champion. This has been the most important year of Bianca Belair’s career. While fans don’t know what the next year will bring for her, they can certainly call it the best work of her career.

The RAW Women’s Champion’s rivalries with Bayley and Bianca Belair were the fiercest of her career. These women put up amazing bouts, and the storytelling that went along with it was compelling.

After Belair’s 26-second defeat to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam 2021, she searched for redemption. She accomplished a great deal with her victory at WrestleMania 38, but she didn’t feel satisfied until this year’s SummerSlam. After defeating Becky Lynch at SummerSlam this year, Belair gained solace.

This was also the culmination of the rivalry between Lynch and Belair. Thereafter, Belair defended her title against Bayley at several occasions. The record between them at PLEs still stands at 4-0, with Belair defeating Bayley all four times.

ESPN has now named Bianca Belair “Female Wrestler of the Year.” Belair took to Twitter to reflect on her last two years in the WWE. She posted a link to ESPN’s official announcement of her being the female wrestler of the year. Belair thanked all her fans and competitors and promised to keep the same energy in 2023.

WWE Hall of Famer and two-time Women’s Champion Molly Holly recently showered praise on Bianca Belair. During a recent chat with K&S Wrestlefest, She stated that she is in awe of Bianca Belair every week. The Former Women’s Champion also spoke about her admiration for Beth Phoenix, Becky Lynch, and Bayley. She expressed regret at not working with these women and said that it would have been a lot of fun.

“I’m in awe of Bianca Belair every week. Just in awe of her. I also think Becky Lynch is great, Bayley……There are a lot of people that I think would’ve been fun to work with.”

Bianca Belair is set to defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss on the January 2nd edition of RAW. In the second half of the year, Bliss had formed an alliance with Bianca Belair and fought with her as part of a tag team on many occasions. On a recent edition of RAW, Bliss smashed a vase on Belair’s head, thereby turning into a heel.
