After a lacuna, it appears like the Survivor Series is finally getting back to its mold. Though the event is still over a month away, the cat-and-mouse race for tickets has already begun. Days after releasing the initial batch of tickets back in July, WWE pretty much sold them out. This year the spectacular event will emanate from Chicago’s Allstate Arena.
However, due to an unprecedented rush for more, the promotion had no choice but to revamp the seating configuration at the arena. According to WrestleTix, WWE has opened up more sections to accommodate the unbridled fan demand. The report noted that the promotion has released as many as 2,784 tickets, in addition to the previous arena capacity of 12,558 seats.
As a result, the venue in Rosemont can now seat up to 15,342 fans. Owing to the newly opened seats, WWE would have to curtail its traditional entrance set for Survivor Series. It’s because most of the newly added sections would enable fans to sit behind the curved LED screens WWE uses.
The set-up could be similar to what the fans witnessed at Backlash in Puerto Rico or Money in the Bank in London. With all the latest additions to this year’s Survivor Series venue, it would be safe to assume that the show will have a different feel to it.
Although there hasn’t been an official update yet, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed that WWE is planning for the return of WarGames. Also, there have been heavy discussions about including The Judgment Day in the designated match. With Triple H regaining supreme control over WWE Creative, fans should expect utter chaos en route to the forthcoming event in Chicago.
CM Punk or Randy Orton – Who is more likely to steal the weekend at Survivor Series?
A return or two look certain to go down in Chicago’s Allstate Arena in November. A large chunk of the internet is expecting CM Punk to make his long-awaited WWE return that night in Chicago. The reports have stated otherwise, with the word going around that neither of the parties are in active talks.

As of now, The Best in the World isn’t planned to be a part of Survivor Series 2023. However, the man who could blow the roof off is 14-time World Champion Randy Orton. After being on the sidelines for nearly 1.5 years, The Viper is reportedly eyeing his return. He was also at WWE Performance Center which could be an indication of his impending return.
Fightful noted that WWE has targeted Survivor Series for The Apex Predator’s thumping return. The red-hot Chicago crowd would probably not be disappointed at the end of the night. If not CM Punk, they’ll probably get Randy Orton to mitigate the wounds, if any.
