“I’ll be at peace with whatever happens”- Big E reveals that he would be in content if he is unable to wrestle again
Big E in WWE
Big E is one of the most powerful performers in the wrestling industry. Big E began his career as a power lifter and has been a USA Power-lifting champion and was a wrestling fan since he was young. Big E won the state championship in high-school wrestling and was named Hillsborough County’s “Ironman of the Year”. Big E aspired to play professional football, but his aspirations were dashed by injuries. He was then introduced to professional wrestling by a friend who knew Jim Ross and then was signed to WWE’s developmental territory FCW in 2009.
Big E wrestled on FCW until 2011 and when FCW was rebranded to NXT in 2012, He made his NXT debut in August 2012 and feuded with Seth Rollins, who was the then NXT Champion and also a member of “The Shield”. Big E defeated Seth Rollins in January 2013 to become the NXT Champion, he held the title for 153 days and was ultimately defeated by Bo Dallas in June 2013. In December 2012, while still a member of the NXT Brand, Big E made his main roster debut.
Since then, he has competed until March of this year on the main rosters, although he is presently sidelined due to an injury. Big E has been a 1-time WWE Champion and an 8-time WWE tag team Champion with his New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier woods.

Big E won the WWE Championship for the first time in 2021
In September 2021, the then WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was about to face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship on RAW. The previous week Big E had announced on twitter that he would be cashing in his MITB contract on whoever will be the Champion at the end of the day. The following week Bobby Lashley defeated Randy Orton and retained the WWE Championship, only to lose it to Big E when he cashed in his MITB contract and became the new WWE Champion.
Big E Langston then defended the title on several occasions against Theory, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley and ultimately lost it to Brock Lesnar at the Day 1 live event in a Fatal Five Way match. He got an Opportunity to be the number 1 contender against Lesnar but was defeated by Bobby Lashley.
Thereafter Langston was moved to SmackDown, where he reunited with his New Day Teammate Kofi Kingston. In March of this year the New Day feuded with Ridge Holland and Sheamus and a match between them happened on March 11 edition of SmackDown. During the match Ridge performed Belly to Belly Suplex to Langston and this caused Langston to land on his head after which he was taken to the hospital. He then shared on social media that he had suffered a broken neck but would not require surgery and thanked the WWE Universe for their concern. Since then he has been out of action.
Big E recently stated in an interview with TMZ Sports that fretting about his condition and career is useless to him and only does him harm. If he didn’t wrestle again, he claimed he would be at peace with whatever happens and would accept the outcome cheerfully. There is still a lot of life to live, he said in conclusion.
“Worrying about it [and] stressing about it only hurts me. It’s not useful. I think I’ll be at peace with whatever happens. Whether I can wrestle again, I’ll be at peace with that. If I can’t wrestle again, so be it. My limbs work. I get to do this [moves fingers]. It could have been very different for me. There’s a lot of life to live regardless.”
As of now, it is unknown when Big E will return to action again.
