“There was one match tonight that was pro wrestling”- Bill Apter praises Seth Rollins’ match from Raw last night
Seth Rollins and Ezekiel last night on WWE Raw
Seth Rollins is adamant over delivering great matches throughout his WWE career and he’s earned the spot of how a superstar should represent his company. Over the years, Rollins’ flawless in-ring abilities and intriguing character work have been a major of WWE’s programming. You can count his run with The Authority along with his Money in the Bank briefcase as the greatest from him till date but what he’s offering currently is nothing short of phenomenal.
Last night on Monday Night Raw, he faced Ezekiel in a rematch from 2 weeks ago. The match was a good paced back and forth contest often going methodical textbook style at times where both superstars got the opportunity to various arrows from their stored arsenal. The ending of the match came when Rollins caught Zeke in a rolling elbow on the side of the neck followed by his patent Curb Stomp into the mat to pick up the win over Ezekiel.
Well, I can’t say about everyone who watched this match would be absolutely thrilled but Legendary Journalist and wrestling photographer Bill Apter was certainly as hell impressed by their match from last night. On this week of Sportskeeda’s Legion of Raw, the journalist seemed legit pleased with Rollins vs. Ezekiel calling it as a proper pro-wrestling match. He even compared that match taking roots from Jim Crockett’s FCW mentioning it as good old-school contest between the two premier elite level athletes. Here’s exactly what Apter had to say,
“There was one match tonight that was pro wrestling. That was Seth Rollins against Ezekiel,” said Bill Apter. “Yes, I thought that was a good, old-school, Florida Championship Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions type of wrestling match. It was a back-and-forth that was very little schtick in it. I remember saying to Riju; I said, ‘This is great.’ And he said, ‘Well you’re a Zeke freak, right?’ I said it was a good match.”

Seth Rollins have a huge task to overcome at Summerslam this year
Moments before Monday Night Raw went on-air, WWE officially confirmed that Seth Rollins will go one on one with Riddle at Summerslam after going through each other in recent weeks. Last night, Riddle was a guest on The Kevin Owens Show where Owens tried to form an alliance with the Original Bro using his manipulative language but Riddle denied to join him after The Prizefighter called Randy Orton as a “Snake” and the least trustable man in WWE history.
After that, Seth Rollins music hit and Riddle was ready for a fight looking at the entrance area but The Visinory played him after attacking from behind and laying two vicious stomps over Riddle driving his face into the canvas.
