Now that Black Adam has officially hit theatres, most critics agree that it ranks among Dwayne Johnson’s least impressive films. This movie received a lot of anticipation before it was released, but it fell short of expectations and did not receive a favourable review.
Only 34% of respondents approved of Black Adam, and only 52% gave it a fair rating; the remaining respondents did not enjoy the film. Everyone was perplexed by this because the audience had a positive impression of the film from the trailer and promotional materials. Those who observed said that this was a disappointment by DC.
Black Adam is a mediocre movie rather than a bad
Black Adam has a very slow beginning to the film, and the first half of the film lacks any movement in the plot; it centres on the same theme throughout and fails to even create a strong sense of suspense for the second half. On the other hand, the movie became a little limbo because the second half of the film had every story reveal.
There is a lot of terrific action and many situations where viewers can enjoy the film, thus the critics claim that it is only extremely mediocre and not so horrible. People have even said that the movie lacks a decent first half and that the second part of the film was hurried.
The movie could have been great if it had a good time and people would have enjoyed it, but because of the rushing of the story after the intermission, the movie became extremely messy. As a result, DC once again produced a mediocre film that could have been among the best in the history of contemporary cinema.
