“I put him in the Hurt Lock, put him to sleep “- Bobby Lashley speaks of “bittersweet” victory over MVP and Omos

Bobby Lashley is going to be stacked against the odds of Omos and MVP at Hell in a Cell.

Sunday night saw some of the most breathtaking fights at the WWE Hell in a Cell. One of the most talked-about feuds was Bobby Lashley vs Omos and MVP. In the end, it was Bobby Lashley who emerged victorious in the handicap match, defeating both Omos and MVP.

It was during the build-up to WrestleMania 38 when Omos and Lashley formed a dispute. The Nigerian Giant teamed up with MVP after Lashley beat Omos at the Grandest Stage of Them All, and the two set out to avenge The All Mighty. This feud ended in the Nigerian defeating Lashley in a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash. However, things changed last Sunday at Hell in a Cell when MVP joined the encounter as Omos’ partner in a Handicap match.

Bobby Lashley won the WWE match after submitting MVP with The Hurt Lock at the end of the match.

During the match, MVP attempted to take down The All Mighty by deception and underhanded techniques, while Omos attempted to employ his brute might. After the Nigerian rammed him through the ringside barrier, Lashley was almost counted out, but he made it back into the ring and continued the match.

Speaking to WWE’s TV unit after the match, Lashley said, “It (the win) was kind of bittersweet. First of all, the Chicago crowd is alive, and it made me feel really good to be back out there. And just doing what I did, I’ve been through a lot of bumps and bruises this year, and I feel right now I’m starting to get back on the road. I mean, I’m engaging with the crowd, the crowd loves me, I love them, everything seems good. I mean that part with MVP, I mean it still kind of hurts me a little bit.”

Speaking of his differences with MVP, Lashley said, “We’ve been through a lot, and for what he did and turned his back on me I think that was just uncalled for. So I wish that didn’t ever happen but it happened. So for me, I settled our differences, put him in the Hurt Lock, put him to sleep, so now I can move on to bigger and better things.” After his victory, Lashley jumped out of the ring and grabbed a replica WWE Championship trophy, gifted by one of his fans, which he hoisted over his head.
