Bobby Lashley praises Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre returned to the WWE in 2018 and has been a very big name in the company. He won the WWE title on two separate occasions and won the Royal Rumble of 2020. After he lost the title the only person, he feuded the most with was Bobby Lashley who was holding the WWE title at that time.
Even after defeating Bobby Lashley several times, Drew was never able to take the championship away from him. Either he lost due to outside interference or count out or Bobby Lashley gets himself disqualified. This was one of the greatest rivalries and it showed how great wrestlers the two are.
Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley’s mutual respect?
Currently, both superstars are on different brands Bobby Lashley is on Raw while Drew is on Smackdown. When Bobby Lashley was asked in an interview about who is his favorite wrestler currently in the company and he would love to have a match against him he says,
“Drew actually is one of the favorite people in the company I mean he can be the one who can represent a company the thing about him is championship material I really respect him and I know if I am going against Drew I have to fight and fight well.”
Bobby also said that he loves how much Drew McIntyre is passionate about wrestling and loves the game. Bobby wants Drew to go to Clash of the Castle and win the WWE title from Roman so that he can get another shot at the title and win it so he can have two titles on his shoulder.
Bobby Lashley currently holds United States Championship and would love to at least have an opportunity on the WWE title and wants to become the second ever to hold both titles at the same time. Seth Rollins was the first.Drew McIntyre saw the interview and tweeted, “Whatever company we crossed paths in, whether it was side-by-side or going to war against each other, one thing was clear – respect. I appreciate you big man, we’ll run it back soon enough”
Drew is currently booked to face Sheamus on Raw after Summerslam to determine the number one contender for the title and the winner of that match will face the champion at WWE’s next premium event The Clash at the Castle.
