“We’ve always had that common mentality of working out” – Bobby Lashley reveals incidents when Vince McMahon wanted to workout with him
Bobby Lashley roaring with his wwe championship.
Bobby Lashley has experience in pro wrestling, mixed martial arts, and amateur wrestling. Clearly, the three endeavors are comparable while simultaneously being categorically distinct, with components borrowed from one another. Several athletes have admitted that their skills have been put to the test by others who are either intrigued or eager during the previous five years.
WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is infamous for physically testing his wrestlers, even going so far as to try for double leg takedowns on Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle. McMahon, according to Lashley, takes a different approach with him.
Before his WWE Hell in a Cell championship defense against Drew McIntyre, Lashley told the media that nothing has happened to him in the ring yet.
Lashley said, “In the ring, no. There are a lot of times where people subtly test you and you think ‘are you?’ and then it’s gone. They don’t really set it into the point where it’s like ‘okay, I’ll let this go.’ I did have an opportunity to roll with Riddle and other guys. These guys have skill. I don’t think anyone is at the point of testing me to where I’m firing back 100%.”
Vince McMahon and Bobby Lashley never spoke about business
Bobby Lashley didn’t have a tight relationship with McMahon, and they didn’t necessarily speak business, but they kept in touch. Vince McMahon, in fact, was hoping to catch a workout with Lashley.
He said, “We’ve always had that common bond and mentality of working out. He would come down to Denver and be like, ‘I’ll be in Denver, we have to get a workout in.’ We never really did, but it was a running joke and a possibility that we’ve talked about a few times. It wasn’t one of those things where we talked consistently, just a few text messages over the ten or eleven years I was gone.”
