Despite nursing his torn triceps, CM Punk refuses to stay home. This week, he was at the NXT tapings. He was seen keeping a close eye on the show, far from the public eye. However, the fans in attendance were too keen to catch him, and his presence surfaced online. It appears like Punk was able to evade a run-in with WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T.

The wrestling great made this revelation on his ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast. However, Booker refrained from divulging the meat of the matter. He underscored social media’s eagerness to pick this up. But he told his co-host, Brad Gilmore, that he’d talk about the incident at length off-air. That’s all the viewers could learn.

One would wonder what might’ve led to Booker T saying that he almost got into a spat with The Best in the World. As a result, the 59-year-old is getting smoked on the internet for ruffling the feathers the way he did. Some are even accusing the incumbent NXT commentator of making up incidents just to stay in the conversation.

I almost had like a little run-in with CM Punk. We'll talk about it later. I don't wanna put it out there because they're gonna pick it up and run with it. But yeah, I'll talk to you about that off the air.

CM Punk has not responded in any capacity, nor does it look like he will. The Second City Saint appears to be embracing every ounce of his WWE stint before he calls it a day. Previous reports also suggest that he’s been a regular visitor to the performance center.

Punk has been imbuing the indispensable cues to the younger crop of WWE Superstars. Having such a learned student of this game as the mentor was everything the neophytes could’ve asked for.

CM Punk is due for an on-screen return to Raw

Fans do not need to wait any further for CM Punk’s return, though it could be a one-off appearance. Having said that, the 45-year-old is set for WWE Raw in Chicago on March 25. It would mark Punk’s first WWE appearance since getting laid out by Drew McIntyre on Raw after the Royal Rumble.

To cater to a reckless fan demand, WWE has released additional tickets for CM Punk’s homecoming. But the real question is: why is he back amidst an injury? It might have something to do with feeding the people of Chicago their hometown hero.

However, there are rumors of his potential involvement at this year’s WrestleMania in some capacity. Some believe he might be the host. Another theory says he might have something to offer in the World Heavyweight title match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
