“I don’t think so”; Booker T dismisses the allegations of Seth Rollins being buried
Seth Rollins is widely regarded as one of the best if not the best wrestler in the world right now. The former ROH Champion made a name for himself when he signed a developmental contract with WWE. Seth Rollins was crowned as the inaugural NXT Champion defeating Jinder Mahal in the process.
The Architect debuted on the main roster with his fellow brothers Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose attacking Ryback. After a successful stint with the group Rollins decided to part ways with the Shield and ended up betraying them to join Triple H. With the betrayal began the meteoric rise of Seth Rollins. With Triple H on his side Rollins won the Money in the Bank that year and later successfully cashed it in at Wrestlemania to win his first WWE World heavyweight Championship.
Since winning his first WWE Championship Seth Rollins hasn’t looked back and has managed to win every possible championship in the WWE making him a Grand slam champion. Seth Rollins has constantly reinvented himself and managed to stat relevant with the fans and a threat to his opponents. The Visionary is considered as one of the best wrestlers his generation because of his wrestling style and second to none mic skills.
Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes put on a 5-star classic at WWE Hell In a Cell
Seth Rollins recently concluded a stellar trilogy of matches with The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes with the last match between the duo garnering a five-star rating from Dave Meltzer. Seth Rollins was on the losing end of all three matches which led many to speculate if WWE was burying the visionary. Booker T was asked a similar question on the Hall of Fame podcast and the old timer rejected the silly accusations and stated that Seth would make his way to the top very soon:
“I don’t think they buried Seth. Buried is a very, very harsh word as far as wrestling terms go. I think Seth knew what his job was, more importantly than anything, his job was to go out there and make Cody Rhodes. Sometimes you need someone – I need someone like Seth Rollins to actually make me, and make me relevant again [sic]. There’s not that many people who can do it,” said Booker T.
The Hall of famer also went on to call Rollins a soldier and said :
“I understand, sometimes you need certain guys to give you the rub and Seth is a soldier. I don’t think it’s going to diminish Seth Rollins when he wins his next title.”
Seth Rollins despite being a multiple time WWE Champion has not held the title for three years. With Money in the Bank just around the corner, the visionary might just win it and repeat the ‘Heist of the century’.
