At Wrestlemania 38 night 2 fans all over the world tuned into see the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar go up against the Universal Champion Roman Reigns for a unification match. The winner would be crowned as the first ever WWE Universal Champion. In a very hard hitting encounter the Tribal Chief walked away as the WWE Universal Champion after pinning Brock Lesnar in the middle of the ring.

On Friday Night Smackdown Roman Reigns was set to appear for the first time since his title winning effort against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. The Tribal Chief had his hands full for his first title defence as he was set to face the Original Bro Matt Riddle for the WWE Universal Championship. Matt Riddle was also under the condition that if he loses to Roman he wont be getting another shot at the title until the tribal chief holds it.

Riddle probably had the match of his life against the the Tribal Chief, the original bro gave everything he had but it wasn’t enough for him to capture the gold. The original bro had earlier dedicated this match to his former partner Randy Orton. Riddle wrestled almost a perfect match hitting the champion Roman with signature orton moves like the hanging DDT and powerslam. Riddle also kicked out of a thunderous superman punch. In the closing moments of the match Riddle hit Roman with a Rko for a close three count. After a Spear in mid-air by Roman, Riddle finally got pinned.

Roman and the Bloodline shortly after the match occupied the ring and celebrated with the titles, Reigns got on the microphone and declared that he had wrecked everyone and now he was going to leave.

And then Brock Lesnar’s music hit :

The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar after a small stare down with roman offered to shake his hand, as soon as roman extended his hand Brock Lesnar hit him with an F5 and proceeded to F5 the Usos one by one to close the show. You can watch the whole segment of Brock Lesnar’s return here.
