We are just a few hours away from WWE’s first international PLE of 2024, Elimination Chamber Perth. WWE has reached the Land Down Under to host their final event before WrestleMania 40 at the Optus Stadium. Upon reaching Australia this Wednesday, Austin Theory was encountered by a journalist and then got into an argument with him. Australian star, Bronson Reed broke the silence on this act from an Aussie journalist and showed his disappointment.
Reed took on X to reply to a post that showed the video of Theory’s argument with The West Australian’s editor-in-chief. Bronson wrote the message as a proud Aussie and accepted the fact that they should respect professional wrestling. He added that it is high time that the Australians get with these times and understand what the wrestlers do in that squared circle (which is not fake). To conclude his message, he claims to have been disappointed and added “stupid” journalists to Austin’s defense.
The Arrogant Aussie, Grayson Waller also commented on this scenario and took the heel route for solving things. Waller wrote that he would like to be alongside Theory in a tag team match against those dumb Aussie journalists. The 33-year-old did not specify, but he prefers that match to be at the Elimination Chamber as both stars are available for it and Aussie journos would anyways be there.
As a proud Australian... our country needs to respect pro wrestling and get with the times and understand what we do. Disappointed. Stupid journos!Bronson Reed about Austin Theory’s disrespect by Aussie journalists
Reed is not in Perth right now, as he could not book a ticket to the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Instead, Bobby Lashley is one of the six participants inside the barbaric structure. Waller is there to host his talk show, ‘Grayson Waller Effect’ with Cody Rhodes and Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Bronson Reed’s absence at Elimination Chamber remains unclear
On the February 12 episode of Raw, two qualifying matches for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match were held. In the first match, Bobby Lashley booked his ticket to Perth by defeating Australian star Bronson Reed. Thus, it was shocking to witness that the Aussie was not heading into the Chamber held in his home country.
The later reports suggested that Reed’s wife was pregnant, and the due date was around that period. But a few days ago, the 35-year-old himself took to X to state that his wife is indeed pregnant, but that is not the reason why he has missed Chamber.
Yes, my wife is pregnant. No, that is not the reason I'm not on WWE Chamber. Thank you for your concerns.Bronson Reed clarifies his Elimination Chamber 2024 absence rumors
Bronson added a thank you note for the fans who still showed concern for him and his wife. However, he mentioned that this time the stars did not align and took his spot away for Elimination Chamber Perth. This statement kept the audience guessing the reason for his absence from the Australian event.
