WWE has never had a dearth of Big Men. Being a certain size has proven to have benefitted particularly those who lacked in-ring talent and stuck out like a sore thumb. That being said the company did give WWE Universe some iconic big men like Andre the Giant, Rikishi, and Vader just to name a few.
The current roster boasts a few big names one of which happens to be the Big Aussie Bronson Reed. The former NXT star was a prominent name in the Gold and Black brand, having won the North American Championship (1st non-American title holder).
Recently, The Big Name put out a tweet stating that he feels like an outsider in the company.
“Forever an outsider. But that’s okay. I always remember who accepted me. The others. They’ll learn.”
This comes just days after Vince McMahon presumed charge as Chairman of WWE post the Endeavor acquisition. For those who do not know, Bronson Reed was amongst those superstars who were let go in 2021. But he was bought back into the company when Triple H took over the creative.
Reed showed real promise in NXT under Triple H. He was a fan favorite and Reed was surprisingly quick for a man of his size. He won the NXT North American Championship from Johnny Gargano, who many consider one of the standard bearers of NXT. A main roster call-up seemed likely before his surprise release.
The timing of this tweet coinciding with the return of Vince McMahon does not seem like a coincidence. Most Triple H backed talent were the ones released and if recent reports are to be believed, a lot of talent backstage is upset with how things are, especially post-RAW.
What’s next for Bronson Reed?

Reed did not have a showing at this year’s WrestleMania, but he was the runners-up at The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale. On this week’s RAW, Reed was shown engaging in a backstage confrontation with the winner of the ATGMBR, Bobby Lashley. Hopefully, this transitions into a proper storyline rivalry and not just a one-off match next week on RAW.
Reed has the ability to be a credible heel and it’s already established that he’s a phenomenal in-ring performer. All he needs is a good storyline rivalry.
